Arthur Ferrell (Art) Savage, 75, died in Mesa, Saturday, May 7, 2005.
Art was born in Vernonia, Columbia Co. Oregon, April 17, 1930. He was one year old when the family moved back to Show Low, to his grandpa Savages' red brick home. He graduated from Show Low and attended Snowflake Union High School. Art became a truck driver and drove all his life until he became ill a few years ago. He loved bow hunting, fishing and camping with his wife, family and grand kids. His father Arthur Hall Savage died when Art was just 16.
Art is survived by his wife Norma Jean Newton; one daughter Veneta Jean; son Art Jr. (Debby); four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Geri Giles, Norma Franke and Lynda Willis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Myrtle Savage (Mulkey); two sisters Ella Larson and babysitter Myrtie Lou.
A memorial service will be held in Globe Saturday, May 14 at 10 a.m. at the Family Fellowship Church. Cards or letters may be sent to Jean Savage, Box 836, Claypool, AZ 85532.
