Vinton James Sr. of Cedar Creek died May 13, 2005 in Whiteriver.
Vinton was born in Whiteriver Feb. 19, 1951. Vinton enjoyed doing leather craft (purses, wallets, belts), taking photos, going to rodeos, fishing, hunting, camping, bull riding and bareback riding.
He is survived by his wife Lula Clawson James; daughters Marcia James of Cedar Creek, Rhonda Holden, Cedar Creek; sons, Vinton James Jr. of Cedar Creek, Dwight James of Cedar Creek, Rotino James of Scottsdlae; son-in-law Kenneth Holden; grandkids Marnita Holden, Deming James, Racine James, Chimesa, Cheyenne, Savannah, Kinora Parker; god-daughter Angel Declay Parker; godson Ferguson Parker; brothers Rotan Judge James and Dallas Jamer James; sisters Jeanette Skidmore and Jeniffer George; uncles Larry James and Renzo Bullock; and aunts Beaulah Thompson and Nina Albert.
A two night wake was held Saturday, May 21 at the James residence in Cedar Creek. Funeral services were held Monday, May 23 at the Cedar Creek Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Goins officiating. Interment will follow the services at the R-14 Crossing Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary in Whiteriver.
