GRISKOWITZ, Julia

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, July 21, 2007 Julia Griskowitz, 85, went to her heavenly reward on July 19, 2007, at Prescott Samaritan Village. She was born in Garfield, N.J., on March 22, and lived there until 1975 when she moved to Phoenix, Ariz. She moved to Prescott in 2004 and resided there until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Anthony Griskowitz, Sr., as well as her sister, Esther, and brothers, Louis Majka, Stanley Majka, Anthony Majka, Joseph Majka, Edward Majka and Fred Majka. She is survived by her children, Anthony Griskowitz, Jr., of Prescott, and Lois Weyer, of Penn., and Nancy Philips, of S. C., as well as eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2007, at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Phoenix, followed by a 2 p.m. internment at the Veterans Cemetery.
