The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, August 3, 2007 Mary Catherine Hickok, 83, of Prescott, Ariz., born in Marion, Kan., passed away Aug. 2, 2007, at Mountain View Manor in Prescott. Celebration of life service is at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made in Mary’s name to the Yavapai Humane Society, 1625 Sundog Ranch, Road, Prescott, Ariz., 86301. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, Aug. 5, 2007 Mary Catherine Hicok, passed away on Aug. 2, 2007, in Prescott, Ariz. Mary was born on Sept. 5, 1923, in Marion, Kan., to Luther R. and Clara (Williams) Mollohan. Mary attended Wichita State University from 1940 to 1942. On May 21, 1943, she married George B. Hickok. They lived in Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Connecticut, California and Arizona. Mary is survived by her three children, Kathy Hickok and her partner, Nancy Tepper, of Ames, Iowa; Michael Hickok, and wife Linda Doebel, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Randy and Lisa (Hickok) Stoiber, of Denver, Colo. She also leaves five grandchildren, Monte, Kristabel, David, Anne and Lindsay. Mary was very active as a volunteer in Prescott in the 1990’s, with the Senior Companions Program, the Adult Center of Prescott and the Prescott Memorial Society and the Regional Transportation Committee. Previously, she helped to found Hospice programs in Houston and Oklahoma City. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St., Prescott. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mary’s name to the Yavapai County Humane Society. Information provided by survivors.
