Nicole R. Tapija – Apolinar, died Aug. 11, 2007, at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Phoeniz. She was the daughter of Marc W. Tapija, Sr., Amy M. Ogo. Nicole was 19 years old. Nicole was born and raised in Prescott.
She was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church. She loved music, especially the oldies, shopping, giving to and caring for her siblings. She married the love of her life in February 2006, Daniel Apolinar, Sr., (her “Babe”). She loved spending time with Danny and her daughter, Meadow; eating the Mexican food that Danny cooked, living in the big city and the nightly trips to 31 Flavors. She saw to it that the new baby was named after his father, Daniel Apolinar, Jr.
Nicole is survived by her husband, Daniel; her daughter, Meadow; her son, Daniel, Jr.; her parents, Amy and Marc Tapija; two brothers and eight sisters; and many members of her extended family and friends.
A celebration of Nicole’s life will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 630 Park Ave., Prescott, Ariz., with burial at the Prescott Yavapai Tribal Cemetery.
Visitation and gathering of family and friends will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 16 at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home 303 S. Cortez, Prescott, Ariz.
