PETERSON - COOK, Maxine Dian

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, August 12, 2007 Maxine Dian Cook, died July 27, 2007, at the age of 76. She was born December 5, 1930, in California. Maxine is survived by her three children, Chris Peterson, Katie Peterson Bendon and Suzannah Libby, as well as two grandchildren. While living in Las Vegas, Maxine helped to start the League of Women Voters, establish a county library and volunteered with Young Audiences. All this she did while raising her children in an extremely nurturing and dynamic manner for which we will be forever grateful. Maxine attended UCLA and eventually finished her Bachelors Degree at UNLV. She worked for years as an office manager in Las Vegas and Port Townsend, Washington. More recently Maxine had volunteered with the Sharlot Hall Museum and the Prescott Art Docents bringing her love of art into Prescott classrooms. A family memorial will be held in Las Vegas in October. Information provided by survivors.
