FRANCIS, Coy


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 06/10/2005 Coy Francis, 70, died May 19, 2005 in Springerville at the Friendship House. Coy was born in Sandia, Texas in 1934. His family moved from there in 1936 and relocated in Lakeside, where they resided until 1950, then moving to Pinetop. Coy was one of the remaining old timers of Pinetop. He worked for the North Fork Stockman's Association for several years for Harry Cromwell on his ranch in Snowflake and Vience Butler in Greer at his ranch and riding stables. Coy loved cowboying and the ranch life, he was one of the last real cowboys left, and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his two sisters Dink Rezentes of Calif., Kathryn Hunt of Tucson, and 17 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Pete Francis, mother Ora Francis and brother Harvey. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. June 18 at Slade Ranch.
