Kenneth P. Brower, 77, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., born Oct. 18, 1929, in Doon, Iowa, passed away July 7, 2007, in Prescott, Ariz.
Services are pending.

Kenneth Paul Brower, age 77, went to his heavenly home on July 7, 2007, at Hospice Family Care in Prescott, Ariz., with his wife by his side. Ken was born on a farm near Doon, Iowa, on October 18, 1929, to Cornelius John and Cora (Veenkamp) Brower who preceded him in death as did his brother Ronald.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, Doris; daughter Gloria (Gary) VandeKamp, of Tulsa, Okla.; sons, Kelvin (Bonnie Gort), of Inwood, Iowa, and Conrad (Lisa Tinklenberg), of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; brothers, Clifford, of Worthington, Minn. and Leroy VanAller, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; as well as seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Ken married Doris Visser on December 18, 1951, and they farmed near Doon, Iowa, until their move to Grand Rapids, Mich., in 1955. He worked for his uncle in the furniture business until 1959. After a short move to California, the family returned to farming in Minnesota; then settled on the Iowa home farm in 1962.
In March of 1979, Ken and Doris moved to Prescott Valley where the owned and operated what is not Roberts Market Place for a few years. In January of 1986, his son, Conrad, moved with his family to Prescott Valley where Ken and Con started the partnership of K. C. Auto Repair. Ken retired in 1996. He and Doris enjoyed traveling in their motor home and wintering in Parker until Ken’s health declined in 2005.
Family and friends visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 13, at Sunrise Funeral Home in Prescott Valley.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14 at Calvary Frontier in Prescott Valley, with Pastor Ken VanTuyl officiating. Coffee time and a light lunch will follow.
