Laura June (Blevins) Healea, 51, passed away into the presence of the Lord on May 31, 2010 in Lake Havasu City. She was born on April 15, 1959, in Alameda, Calif., to Leo and Francis Blevins.
Laura lived and worked in the Alameda area in the food industry prior to moving to Lake Havasu City ten years ago. Always smiling, few people knew the chronic pain Laura suffered every day as a result of a major back injury and several surgeries. She persevered, seldom complaining. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints”, especially one with such a servant’s heart. Laura will be sorely missed and always loved.
Laura is survived by her beloved husband, Eric Steven Healea; daughter, Courtney Zukal, of Modesto, Calif.; two grandchildren; father, Leo; step-mother, Jean; one sister, three brothers, nieces, nephews, grand nephews; step children, Lynzee and Martin Healea, of Lake Havasu City; mother-in-law, Rachel Schulz; brother and sister–in-law and dear friend, Jim Riseley as well as many dear friends and family.
A simple memorial celebration of Laura’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church, 1605 S. McCulloch Blvd. with Pastor Sean Haynes offering words of comfort and encouragement.
