MCPHERSON, Samie Lee, Sr.

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, July 3, 2007 Samie Lee McPherson, Sr., 65, passed away March 25, 2007, at his home in Sarasota, Fla. He was born the youngest of 12 children in Crandon, Wisc., on Oct. 16, 1941, to Charles and Suzie (Kidd) McPherson. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie, of Arizona; sons, Samie Lee, Jr., of Montana, Charles Richard and Louis Earl, of Arizona; step-daughter, Cheryl Lane Jennings, of Texas; step-son, Bruce Jennings, of Florida; grandchildren, Amanda, Stephanie, Rebecca Kinnett, Tanner, Tariel, Teagan, Patrick and Reilly; and relatives, Kimberly and Amy McPherson and Ricky Reves. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles; his mother, Susie; his brothers, June (Steve), Tony and Charlie; his sisters, Evalena, Ruby and Elizaellen (Zelda). He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy from January 1961 to December 1964. A graveside memorial will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2007, at Mountain View Cemetery.
