The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, July 2, 2007 Catherine (Martin) McCommon, was born to Olga and Jim Martin and raised in Prescott, Ariz. While attending ASU, she married Duane who preceded her in death in 2002. She lived most of her life in Inverness, Ill., where she enjoyed playing golf. She was a member of The Questers Antique Guild, a 25 year volunteer at Northwest Community Hospital, a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution, and a Deacon at the Palatine Presbyterian Church. She loved world travel, gardening, hiking, birds and bridge. She was also an avid reader. She especially loved annual trips to the Tetons for family reunions. Catherine will be remembered best as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family and all who knew her. She will be ever in our hearts and deeply missed by her son, Stephen of Tucson, son, Jim, of Sammamish, Wash., daughter-in-law, Linda, grandchildren, Todd (Jennifer), Kristen (Matt) Disbrow, Kelly (Max) Schmidt and five great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2007, at the Prescott Congregational United Church of Christ. A family interment service will follow. Remembrances in lieu of flowers may be made to the Arizona Pioneers’ Home in the name of Catherine (Martin) McCommon. Arrangements by Adair Funeral Homes, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N.
