The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/05/2005 Billie Mae Weers died June 29, 2005. Billie was born Feb. 11, 1929 in Powell, Wyoming to George W. and Helen L. Cameron and grew up in Lander. After working in many years in Lander and Casper, Billie moved to California and then to Arizona where she had spent the past 30 years. She retired from Salt River Project, Coronado Generation Station in St. Johns. She serviced as the station's drawing coordinator. Throughout her life Billie loved horses, painting and music. She was divorced from J. Keith Smith and widowed by Willis (Bill) Weers. She was preceded in death by her parents and both sisters, Winifred (Peggy) Watkins and Betty Darlington. Billie is survived by her children Georgia Smith Vaught; wife of William (Bill) Vaught and son John Michael Weers, married to Chris Weers. Services and interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lander, Wyoming Tuesday, July 5 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Lake Powell Senior Association, Box 1142, Page, AZ 86040.
