Arthur Marshall Antonow, M.D., age 85, died July 8, 2007. He grew up in Chicago with his parents, Julius and Ann (Lashkowitz) Antonow, and his sister, Irene who survives him.
In 1945, he graduated from the University of Indiana, School of Medicine where he was elected to membership in the Honor Society, AOA. During World War II, he served as a medical officer in the U.S. Army. After an Internship and a Residency at cook County Hospital in Chicago, he became board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1956 and he voluntarily recertified in 1976.
Arthur and Carol Stevens, R.N. were wed in 1948. The raised their children in Virginia, Minn., where Dr. Antonow practiced his specialty for 32 years before retiring and moving to Prescott, Arizona in 1986. At this time, ‘Doc’ became an enthusiastic member of the Trap and Skeet Club.
Survivors are his wife, Carol; his children, Juli Ann Antonow, M.D., Davids Antonow, M.D. and Steven Antonow; and his grandchildren, Sara, Becky, Paul, Amanda and Mark.
