Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona January 8, 1976 Londie H. Bragg of Wittmann was pronounced dead on arrival at Boswell Hospital in Sun City New Year’s Day as a result of a two-car accident on U.S. Highway 60 miles south of Morristown. Bragg, 69, died of severe injuries to the head. Also injured in the accident were Robert Walter Schultz, 52, of Mesa, who was treated and released from Boswell Hospital; Phyllis Schultz. 56, who was admitted to Boswell for multiple injuries including a fractured pelvis, and Agnes Schultz, 82, also admitted to the hospital with multiple injuries including a possible fractured hip. The time of the accident was approximately 11:15 a.m. According to Department of Public Safety officials, Bragg was eastbound on the highway and ran off the right side of the road. He recovered the car and swung it back on the highway, but overcorrected. The Schultz car, westbound, was in the path of the Bragg car and the two collided. Bragg’s 1973 Plymouth two-door and Schultz’s 1968 Ford station wagon were heavily damaged. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona January 8, 1976 Lonnie H. Bragg, a resident of Wittmann since 1968, died January 1 in an automobile accident on U.S. Highway 60 six miles south of Morristown. He was 69. Born in Sandstone, W. Va., Mr. Bragg was a retired mine worker. Mr. Bragg was married December 26, 1975, one week before his death. Francis Bragg, his wife, survives him. Funeral arrangements were handled by Wickenburg Mortuary. Services were held January 6. Mr. Bragg received military graveside rites, Rev. Bert G. Follmar officiated.
