BODIROGA, George


Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona January 8, 1976 Services were held Wednesday for George Bodiroga, 53, who died January 3, 1976. Bodiroga was born may 27, 1922 at Sayer’s Station, a stage stop and grocery store located near Wickenburg and operated by his parents, Sam and Mila Bodiroga. He was in the construction business in Wickenburg and previously owned and operated the Carnation dairy and Rainbow bread franchise route here. He most recently was employed as a salesman for Jones Ford Mercury where he was a member of the 500 club. A member of the American Legion, V.F.W. and Moose lodge, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was decorated with the Purple Heart and oak leaf cluster. Services were held at the Presbyterian Church with burial in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Helen, and two daughters, Jorja Beal of Wickenburg and Beverly Bodiroga of Phoenix; a sister, Stella Dixon; and brothers Obren, and Wesley, both of Wickenburg, and Louie of California, and Pet of Miami, Ariz. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the George Bodiroga Memorial Fund at the main branch of the Valley National Bank in Wickenburg.
