The Daily Courier, Prescott Arizona Thursday, June 14, 2007 Duane Leetham, 81, of Prescott, Ariz., born October 5, 1925, in Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away June 11, 2007, in Flagstaff, Arizona. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Sunrise Funeral Home Chapel, 8167 E. Hwy. 69, Prescott Valley. Commemoration in honor of Duane will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at Sunrise Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott Valley. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post # 6, Prescott. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in honor of Duane to Amazing Grace Baptist Fellowship, 8049 E. Ashley Dr., Prescott Valley, Ariz., 86314. Sunrise Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements. ---------------------- The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, July 01, 2007 Duane Leetham, 81, went home to be with his Lord on June 11, 2007, after a lengthy illness. Duane was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Oct. 5, 1925, to Stephen and Mary Ann Leetham. He was the fourth of six children. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps as a teen and served during World War II. He was honorably discharged after being wounded in action on an island in the South Pacific. Duane is survived by the love of his life, Marjorie Leetham, to whom he was married for 40 years. He is also survived by his son, David Leetham, of Flagstaff, Arizona; and daughters, Robin Tella, of Redding Calif., and Cindy Hahn, of Newport, Oregon. Additional survivors include stepchildren, Gregg Hawker, of Prescott, Ariz., Debbie Hamilton, of Oceanside, Calif., Frank Hawker, of Crowley, Texas, and Doug Hawker, of Climax Springs, Mo. Surviving sisters include Ann Whittle, of Sandy, Utah, and Elaine Smith, of Murray, Utah. He also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Services were Saturday, June 16, 2007, at Sunrise Funeral Home, Prescott Valley, Pastor David Parker of Amazing Grace Fellowship presided. Pallbearers for the service included grandsons, Ryan Hamilton, Robert Hamilton, Byron Miller, Eric Hawker, Jeremy Hawker and Justin Hawker. The American Legion Post # 6 of Prescott provided military honors. Inurnment will be at the Prescott National Cemetery. Duane was a man of great faith and was active in his church, Amazing Grace Baptist Fellowship up until he was no longer physically able to attend.
