The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, July 01, 2007 Katie Ball Perrine Katie passed away peacefully on June 10, 2007, at the age of 89 years young, in Prescott, surrounded by her family. She was born April 16, 1918, to Joseph Teasdale and Maggie Halcomb of Cherokee County, Texas. Before moving to Prescott, Katie opened and managed several dry cleaning companies in California and loved to go fishing in the ocean and spend time with her family. Katie moved to Prescott in 1966 and worked at the Airport Center as a waitress and bartender, she also worked at the Pine Cone Inn as a waitress. When Katie was 71 years young, she worked at the Western Bar as a bartender and at 72 as a bouncer at Matt’s Saloon. When Katie wasn’t working she was fishing and traveling. She was known by many and liked by all. Katie always had a smile and a ‘How are you doing today’ for everyone she encountered. Katie will be missed and remembered always by her family and many friends. God Bless and Keep You Mom. Katie is survived by her husband, Jean and two daughters, Samantha Ruiz, of Chino Valley and Barbara Benson of Prescott Valley; seven grandchildren, Shona Babbitt, Rhonda Babbitt, Cindy Shaw, Kevin Cline, Troy Benson, all of Prescott, Katie Moser of Texas and Cheryl Murray of Rio Vista, Calif. Katie also had 14 great-grandchildren and e8 great-great-grandchildren. Her oldest daughter, Marlys and grandson, Clinton Babbitt, Jr., preceded her in death. Services for Katie are at 10 a.m. July 5, 2007, at Mountain View Cemetery. Bart Murray will be officiating the services. There will be a luncheon at the Prescott American Legion on Pleasant Street at 11 a.m. Information provided by survivors.
