Raffaella “Dolly” Luebbing passed away Feb. 8, 2010 in Lake Havasu City. She was born on Feb. 9, 1921, in Chicago, Ill., to Phillip and Filomena (Bosco) Lomoro.
Dolly moved to Lake Havasu City 33 years ago from Hanover Park, Ill. She married Clarence “Babe” Luebbing Jan. 3, 1942, moving to Wisconsin, when Clarence got out of the service. They lived in Three Lakes, Wis., and raised four children.
Dolly was a past Sr. Regent of the Moose Lodge 1608, lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 9401 and a member of the American Legion Post 81. She worked more than 25 years as a volunteer at the Senior Center and the soup kitchen at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. Dolly also worked with the police department to help senior citizens and enjoyed going to jazzercise.
Dolly is survived by her children; Phillip, Sandra, Michael (Peg), and Lori Watts (Dennis); five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, Sept. 15, 1992.
A Memorial Mass will be at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church Thursday at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, her family has requested that donations be made to the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, 266 London Bridge Road, Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86403.
