Zack Truax, Sr., 41, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at PHS Whiteriver Hospital.
Mr. Truax was born May 6, 1964 in Whiteriver, the son of Cato and Reva Cromwell Truax. He grew up in Carrizo and attended elementary school in Whiteriver. He attended high school at an LDS school in Santa Anna, California and later at the Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, Calif.
He was married to the former Juanita Foster July 15, 1987 in Whiteriver. He was known for his good sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. He was baptized in the LDS church but was currently attending Carrizo Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; three sons, Philbert Foster, Jeremiah Foster, and Zack Truax, Jr., all of Carrizo; five sisters Beverly Truax of Pinetop, Marilyn Truax of Phoenix, Carolyn Havier of Whiteriver, Etheline James of Whiteriver and Alfreda Lane of Carrizo. An aunt, Larue Truax of Carrizo; two uncles, Darrell Cromwell of Whiteriver and Elmer Cromwell of Carrizo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Alfred Truax and a sister Kathy Begay.
A two day wake will take place at the residence of Alfreda Lane in Carrizo Thursday and Friday, July 7, 8. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 9 at the Carrizo Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in the Limestone Cemetery in Carrizo under the direction of Black's Mortuary, Show Low.
