ROLLINS, Herbert (Chip) K., III


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/05/2005 Herbert K. Rollins, III, died in a tragic private aircraft accident in Connecticut, Monday, June 27, 2005. Herbert (Chip) was born Feb. 20, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio. A long time resident of Phoenix, Dr. Rollins was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during Vietnam. A dedicated Rotarian and pilot, he was an enthusiastic participant in Angel Flight and many benevolent charities. He held many many offices in the charities and associates that he embraced. He was a sports car and fitness enthusiast. His wife, Patricia also died in this accident. He is survived by his parents Roberta and Herbert K. Rollins, Sr. of Arizona; and sister Kristyn Ungerer of California; daughters Brittina J. Rollins of California and Tora L. Game of Illinois; and six nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Michelle. A memorial service will be held July 8 at 3 p.m. at the Tatum Blvd. Church of Christ in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers memorial services may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Hospice of the Valley, and Angel Flight. Arrangements entrusted to Tempe Mortuary.
