Juanita Padilla, beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, nina and friend passed away quietly July 6, 2005 with her family at Banner Gardens in Mesa.
She was born Sept. 15, 1932 in Calexico, California and was the second oldest of eleven children. Juanita loved her home in the mountains, cooking, her music and most of all loved nothing more than being with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ed (Vicho) Padilla of Show Low; children Ed of Gilbert, Rachel of Heber, Fred of Chandler, Victoria of Georgetown, Texas, Andrew of Henderson, Nevada. Surviving brothers and sisters include Augustine, Rosa, Josie, Pauline, Bertha, Irene, Rita and Lupe. She was the loving grandmother to 12 wonderful grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, eight god-children, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Ruth, one sister, and one brother Carlos.
Visitation will be held at Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 221 E. Florence St. in Florence Friday, July 8 at 6 p.m. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church Saturday, July 9 at 9 a.m. Interment will follow the funeral services at Florence Cemetery located in Florence.
