The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/12/2005 Stanley Douglas Clark, Sr., 70, of Snowflake died Saturday, July 9 at his home. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 14 at Black's Mortuary, Show Low. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 15 at the Lakeside LDS Church. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Black's Mortuary in Show Low. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/15/2005 Stanley D. Clark, 70, of Snowflake died Saturday, July 9, at his residence. Mr. Clark was born Dec. 18, 1934 at Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Earl James and Ethel Mae Ronneyburg Clark. He was reared and attended school in Utah and Nebraska. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving as a radio man on several destroyers. He was married to the former Shirley Cobbley March 3, 1955 in Shelly, Idaho. He was employed as an electronics technician by Western Union for 28 years, retiring and coming to the White Mountains in 1986. During his tenure he lived in nearly all of the western states. His hobbies included ham radio, computers, card games, gardening, and archery. He was a gentleman farmer and community Santa Claus. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Shirley of the home; four daughters, Kim Cowley of Lakeside, Stacy Clark of Independence, Missouri, Lynice Stakebake (James W.) of Show Low, Ella McNeil (Tom) of Show Low; three sons, Stanley Douglas Clark, Jr. (Kay) of Mondovi, Wisconsin, Brad Clark (Janet) of Queen Creek, Hal Clark (Jolynn) of Show Low; sister Marilyn Williams of Salt Lake City, Utah; two brothers Jack Clark of Kearns, Utah and Ray Clark of Duchane, Utah; 25 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Jeffrey Clark. Visitations will be held Thursday, July 14 from 6-8 p.m. at Black's Mortuary in Show Low and Friday from 12-2 p.m. at the Lakeside LDS Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at the church with Dr. Jeff Moffatt officiating. Burial, with military honors performed by Pinetop-Lakeside VFW Post 2364 will be at the Lakeside Cemetery. Black's Mortuary of Show Low handled arrangements.
