KASTEN, Norman Grant


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/15/2005 Norman Grant Kasten, 76, died Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at his home in Show Low. He was born in Carlinville, Illinois to Clarence Emil and Maria Maud Kasten. He grew up and attended school there. Following school he was drafted into the Army during the Korean Conflict, though he never served in that conflict. After his military service he met and married Gail Osborne. They had one son, Norman, Jr. who precedes him in death in 1999. Norman was a member of the American Legion. He worked as a welder for Phelps Dodge for many years. Norman is survived by his sister, Melba A. Hunter of Sun City, AZ; step daughters, Sharon McNeil of Show Low and Judy Thompson of Madison, SD; grandchildren, Mystery Norelle Kasten and Tara Leigh Kasten both of Hawaii. Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23at Owens Mortuary in Show Low. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
