Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona May 13, 1976 Services were held Friday May 7 for Francis Walker, 79, who died May 3 at the Wickenburg Community Hospital. She was born September 22, 1896 in Midland, Texas. She came to Arizona in 1918. Her husband, the late A.G. Walker, was warden of the Arizona State Prison in the 1930’s and later served as Superintendent of the Arizona Highway Patrol. She was a member of the Wickenburg Church of Christ and the Eastern Star. Survivors include her daughters Mrs. Cassie George and Mrs. Ora Gray of Wickenburg, Thelma Vensel of Mesa, Irene Nord and Lola Temple, 19 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Burial was in the Glendale Memorial Cemetery.
