Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Thursday, January 28, 2010 Mavis Ione Lovins passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 90. Mavis was born on Oct. 9, 1919, in San Diego, Calif., to Ed and Talitha (Rollberg) Cooper. Mavis moved to Lake Havasu City 18 years ago from Covina, Calif. She was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed china painting, knitting and crocheting. Mavis is survived by her son, Kenneth Robert Lovins and his wife Sheri, of Lake Havasu City; daughter, Susan Cummings and her husband Michael, also of Lake Havasu City; brother, Ed Cooper, of San Diego, Calif.; sister, Bonnie Cusack and her husband Jim, of San Diego, Calif.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lovins. Crypt side services will be at Cypress View Mausoleum and Mortuary in San Diego, Calif., Monday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1029 E.
