Betty L. Stewart, 79, passed away peacefully Jan. 9. She was born on Sept. 11, 1930, in Compton, Calif., to Turley and Thelma (Foley) Moore.
Betty was a beautician in the Los Angeles area before retiring to Lake Havasu City in 2002. She loved bowling and participated in bowling leagues in Bellflower, Calif., for many years, earning several awards for 200-plus games. Betty also enjoyed Western movies and country music.
She found the Arizona desert to be one of the most beautiful places on earth, so when her eldest granddaughter, Colleen M. Savage and family, relocated to
Lake Havasu, Betty decided that would also be the perfect time for her to finally retire and move to the beautiful desert she had always dreamed of.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Diane L. Morgan, of Lake Havasu City, and Jeanette Moe, of Rexburg, Idaho; as well as seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, plus another great-grandchild on the way.
