Black's Mortuary, Show Low, Arizona Curtis E. Burton (July 27, 1932 - June 7, 2010) Curtis E. Burton, 77, of Overgaard, passed away Monday, June 7, 2010, at his home. He was born July 27, 1932, in New Hampton, MO, the son of Alvin and Alice (McCay) Burton. He was raised and attended school in Bethany, MO. He was married to Wanda Eaton on January 15, 1951, in Harrison, AR. Curtis was a U.S. Army veteran of Korea, serving from 1952 – 1954. He worked as a machinist for General Dynamics in Pomona, CA, for 30 years, retiring in 1989. He moved to Overgaard in 1990. He enjoyed fishing. Curtis is survived by his wife, Wanda; two sons, Steven (Mary) Burton of California and David Burton of Overgaard; five grandchildren, Jenni, Jason, Dustin, Daniel and Annette; and six great grandchildren, Kaitland, Cynthia, April, Abigail, Dustin, Jr. and Isabella. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jeff. Memorial services are pending.
