The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/22/2005 Robert J. Smith, 69, of Safford, died July 14, 2005 after a short illness. He was born May 20, 1936 in Clifton, to Robert and Clara Smith. He worked as an Electrician in the Arizona mine industry. Retiring from Stone Container of Snowflake in 1996. Bob is survived by his wife Connie; son Bobby, daughter Debbie; step-sons Kevin, Darin and Derek Jones; 11 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; brothers Don and Jim Smith; sister Angie Sheppard and several cousins, relatives and close friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his step-mother Lurene and step-brother Ben Loving. Graveside services will be held at Show Low Cemetery Saturday July 23, at 11 a.m. The family would like to express their appreciation for all the love and support received during Bob's illness.
