Jose Pete Enriquez passed away Dec. 15, 2009 in Lake Havasu City at age 50.
He was born to Jose Pedro Enriquez and Catalina Sierra on Dec. 12, 1959, in Douglas.
Pete attended the Maricopa County Skill Center in Phoenix, where he received his certificate in meat cutting. He moved to Lake Havasu City in the early ’80s and fulfilled his meat-cutting career at Bashas’, Smith’s, Food City and Albertsons.
Pete was a wonderful son, father, brother and friend. He touched the lives of many people with his open personality and great sense of humor.
Pete leaves behind his only child and son, 16-year-old Christopher Pete Enriquez, of Lake Havasu City; his mother, Catalina Sierra, of Tucson; three sisters, Patty Bustamante, of Tucson, Diane Enriquez, of St. Louis, Mo., Becky Salcito, of Queen Creek; and many nephews and nieces; and his long-time companion, Heather Williams, of Lake Havasu City.
Pete enjoyed fishing, camping, gambling and spending time with friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him but never forgotten.
A celebration of life will take place today at 11 a.m. at Theresa and Doug Taylor’s home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in his son’s name, Christopher P. Enriquez, Lake Havasu High School football and wrestling department. An account has been set up at Chase Bank.
