ALLEN, Odessa (Dessie)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 08/12/2005 Odessa Allen, 86, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005 at Navapache Regional Medical Center. She was born and raised in Oklahoma. She met and married her first husband Leonard Owens in Oklahoma and they moved to Arizona, residing in Parker, Yuma and Phoenix before moving to Lakeside. Leonard preceded her in death in the late 70s. Dessie later married Lynn Allen a longtime friend, together she and Lynn shared over 25 years. Dessie was a great cook and loved to work in her flower garden. Dessie is survived by her husband, Lynn Allen of Lakeside; three step daughters, Loraine Birch, Sherrie Denton and Brenda Allen all of Phoenix; and one niece. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15at Owens Mortuary in Show Low. Interment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery.
