The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 08/19/2005 Legia A. Purcell, 52, died August 10, 2005. She was born in Loma Linda, Calif. Oct. 2, 1952. Legia will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the community of Show Low and was a long time friend to many. Legia graduated from Cal Poly- Pomona with a degree in Social Work in 1974 and had been employed by the State of Arizona as an intake specialist for ACCCHS Evercare for many years. She was working as the Admissions Social Worker for RTA Hospice at the time of her passing. She is survived by Darrell, her husband of 31 years, her sons Danny (Rachael) and Sean; her grandchildren, Keilah, Christian, and Summer Ann. A memorial service, in celebration of her life will be held at the Show Low Stake Center Saturday, Aug. 20, at 1 p.m. Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers in Legia's memory to the Meagan Bodenstiener Medical Expense Fund at Wells Fargo Bank (367-6320).
