DILLENBECK, Dorothy Verna


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, November 4, 2007 Dorothy V. Dillenbeck, 85, of Chino Valley, Ariz., passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus early Sunday morning, Oct. 21, 2007, at John C. Lincoln Mountain North Trauma Center in Phoenix with her son Craig Dillenbeck, his wife, Cheryl, and three children, also of Chino Valley gathered round her. Dorothy and her husband, Albert, 87, were involved in a single-vehicle rollover accident Friday evening, Oct. 19, 2007, in Chino Valley. Albert was initially hospitalized at YRMC for non life-threatening injuries, while Dorothy was airlifted to Phoenix. Albert has been released in good condition from YRMC to a local skilled nursing facility in Prescott to continue his recovery process. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 65 years, Albert; her sister, Bernice Meyka and husband Mike of Warren, Mich., children, Diane and Roy Kawawaki of Santa Ana, Calif.,Mark and Mari-Ann Dillenbeck of Del Mar, Calif., and Craig and Cheryl Dillenbeck; grandchildren, Catherine Shipman of Mantua, N.J., Heather and Jonathan Fogg of Tustin Calif., and Courtney, Nathaniel, and Joshua Dillenbeck of Chino Valley. Dorothy is also survived by great- grandchildren, Joshua Shipman, Erik and Hannah Fogg, and great-god-daughter Haiden Dumoch. She leaves behind a myriad of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends - with special mention of her beloved extended families of "the Canal Group," the ladies at Chino Valley Curves, and members of Hope Lutheran Church. A Celebration of Dorothy's, Life will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov 10, 2007, at Hope Lutheran Church in Chino Valley. The family requests casual attire, and prefer no black. "Curves" attire would be happily welcomed at our celebration. A "Goodies" potluck will follow the service; please bring your favorite dessert or gift treats to celebrate Dorothy's passion of baking "Goody Gifts" for multitudes throughout her lifetime. In lieu of flowers, we wish to honor our mom by establishing the Dorothy Dillenbeck Memorial Curves Membership Fund.
