The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 06/11/2010 Alan K. Bowlby, 79, died Monday, May 31, 2010 in Mesa. He was born Jan. 6, 1931, in Washington, New Jersey to Herbert Bowlby and Gladys Rush Bowlby. Alan served in the United States Navy, National Guard and United States Air Force and worked in the auto parts industry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and being with his family. Alan is survived by his wife Earlene Bowlby of Quemado, N.M.; son Alan Bowlby, Jr. of Phoenix; daughters Jennifer Dickman of Yuma; Susan McGovern of Phoenix; sister Alice Ceddia of Hackettstown, N.J.; 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter Gerri Lynn Bowlby. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at First Baptist Church of Quemado, in Quemado, N.M.
