EWING, Susan Dean

Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ June 11, 2010 Our wonderful Susan (Norris) Dean Ewing left us Sunday, June 6, 2010, to be with her family gone before. Susan was born June 26, 1922, in Worland, Mont., eldest of seven children born to Charles W. and Laura Hume Norris. She grew up in Helena but traveled extensively. She graduated in 1960 from Carroll College and took up her life as a registered nurse until her retirement in 1999, when she moved to Kingman. Susan is preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Dixon; her parents; two sisters, Helena Johnson and Mickey Lenihan; and two brothers, Charles Norris and James Norris. She is survived by her beloved son, Shannon Cloke of Kingman; her "one in a million" brother, William Norris and his wife Toni, also of Kingman; and a brother, Robert Norris of Portland, Ore. She leaves numerous nieces and nephews, including Donna Sue Reed of Helena, who was more a daughter than a niece. Susan also leaves her dearest friend, Patty Silva and her husband Pete of Casper, Wyo. "Know that I will be looking out for every one of you, and if I can find a way to let you know what wonders lie ahead, rest assured you will be hearing from me." She is loved deeply and already missed terribly. Susan has been cremated and there will be no services.
