HARMON, Daniel Richard


Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ June 8, 2010 Daniel Richard Harmon Dan passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, while driving for FedEx Freight. A resident of Golden Valley from 2008 to 2010, he was born in Beech Grove, Ind., on May 22, 1951. He served in the United States Marine Corps for four years during the Vietnam War. Dan did a lot of volunteer work, starting with the Coast Guard Auxiliary for five years in San Bernardino County, Calif.. He also volunteered as a reserve deputy sheriff for 12 years with the Mounted Sheriff's Posse. Dan became active at the Mohave Sportsman Club, and during this last year, became an instructor working with the youth. He enjoyed many outdoor activities including fishing, boating, quad riding and shooting, but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends. Dan is survived by his wife, Diana; along with their four children, Boyd, Barbara, Gina and Matthew; and his seven grandchildren, Brittany, Dominic, Bradly, Seth, Xena, Jacob and Steven. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends he made. There will be a public viewing at noon, followed by the memorial service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, at Kingman Christian Church, 2820 Gordon Drive.
