Michael Robert Kwiatkowski was born May 27, 1971, in Scottsdale, the son of David Vandine and Sherri Louthan. Soon after his birth, the family relocated to Wyoming and later to California, where Michael spent most of his formative years. He attended East Union High School in Manteca, Calif. Michael loved sports and football in particular.
In 1989, following his graduation from high school, Michael returned to Scottsdale to attend art school. While working at a local restaurant in Scottsdale, he met Jenny Whitehouse. Their affection and friendship towards one another soon blossomed to courtship. Michael and Jenny were married June 17, 1995, in Gilbert. Later that year the union was blessed with the birth of their first son, Michael. In 1996, Michael gained work with the help of a friend, Steve Reynolds, who assisted him in learning the trade of land surveying.
In 1997, as his career was in full swing, Michael gave his life to the Lord with a formal dedication and baptism. A year later, Michael and Jenny were again blessed with the birth of another son, Gabriel. In 2001, the family relocated to the Gila Valley, as he gained employment with Graham County as assistant engineer, again using his surveying skills. Michael dearly loved his wife, children, community and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also was an accomplished artist, drawing comic book action heroes. Michael often shared his love of artwork with his son Michael.
On Sunday, October 20, 2002, Michael went home to be with his Lord following injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident near Wickieup. He was 31.
Michael is survived by his wife, Jenny, and his two sons, Michael and Gabriel, all of Thatcher; and extensive friends and family.
The family received friends Saturday afternoon, Oct. 26, at Bunker's Caldwell Chapel prior to funeral ceremonies which were also conducted at the Chapel. Concluding ceremonies, followed in the Hubbard Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to Bunker's Caldwell Chapel.
