J. Wiley Hansen, 57, former Wickenburg resident, passed away on May 18, 1981 at the O.O.S. Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a member of the O.O.S. Church.
He served in the United State Air Force for 15 years as a navigator bombardier on B-17’s, B-36’s and B-52’s. He was a prisoner of war in Germany for 10 months during World War II.
At the time of his death he was employed as a correctional Lieutenant at the Utah State Prison. He had just received his 15 year pin.
Hansen worked as a policeman in Wickenburg for about 2½ years until he was recalled to active duty in the Air Force during the Korean conflict.
Survivors are his wife, the former Ilene Willis of Wickenburg; Mrs. Carol Summerill, Marsha Rommow, Mrs. Jancie Faggioli, and 19 grandchildren and brother and sisters.
Family prayer and viewing were held at Grant 4th Ward in Salt Lake City. Graveside military rites and interment were in Burley, Idaho.
