NEWFIELD, John Allen


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, July 31, 2007 John Allen Newfield, 40, died on Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at home in Prescott, Ariz. He was born Aug. 22, 1966, in Ludlow, Mass., lived in Phoenix for 30 years, and recently moved to Prescott. John attended Paradise Valley High School and Tech School for Heating and Cooling. After high school, John worked at Smitties for 10 years. The last 12 years, he had been self-employed in heating/cooling and home remodeling, John loved the water; his hobbies included four wheeling, boating, jet skiing and camping. John was loved and respected by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed by all. John is survived by his wife of eight years, Pamela (Breslrears); two step-daughters, Amanda Hewitt and husband Robert, three step-grandchildren, Sarah and Alin Drotar Jr. and Corbin Hewitt; Elizabeth Lemmon and husband Troy, two step-grandchildren, Justin and Audrey; parents, Edward J. Newfield of Prescott, Ariz., and Laurentia A. (Cote) Forbes of Chicopee, Mass.; one brother, Bret R. Newfield and wife Valerie (Sinclair); niece Nicole Geigley and husband John, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; and nephew Jeremy Rowlett and wife Andrea of Tucson, Ariz.; three sisters, Carol A. Gianchetti and husband Gary; niece Kristin, all of Easthampton, Mass.; nephew Gary Jr. of Las Vegas; Suzanne A. Casey and husband Mike of Lady Lake, Fla.;and Marie A. Cohnand, husband Scott; two nieces, April Hofmian and Ashley Cohn all of Aurora, Colorado and several aunts and uncles throughout Arizona, Massachusetts and Florida; special mention of Uncle Louis Cote and wife Heten of Chicopee, Mass.; Aunt Cozette (Cote) Broduer and husband Donald of Easthampton, Mass. ; and Aunt Carol (Cote) Lussier and husband Eugene of Rotonto West, Fla. A memorial service in John's honor will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, at the Sunrise Funeral Home and Crematory, 8167 E. Highway 69, in Prescott Valley Ariz., followed by a family and friends gathering at the Golden Corral in Prescott In lieu of flowers, memorials or donations in John's memory may be sent to Hospice of Prescott.
