YARNELL, Joyce Elaine

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 08/26/2005 Joyce Elaine Yarnell, 79, died Aug. 21, 2005 in Pinetop. She was born in Riverside, Calif. and grew up in El Centro, Calif. Joyce graduated from Imperial High School in 1943. Following school she married Pete Yarnell. They made their home in El Centro. Joyce worked for Western Union, the Carpenters Local Union as a secretary. Following the death of her husband in 1990, she moved to Pinetop because it was a place that she loved. Joyce and Pete had vacationed there since the 50s. Joyce is survived by her sons, Gordon Yarnell of Imperial, California, Pete Yarnell, Jr. of Pinetop and Jeffery Paul Yarnell of El Cahon, California; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death less than two weeks ago by her son, Patrick Allen Yarnell and her husband Pete Yarnell in 1990. Funeral Services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro, Calif. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
