MOCK, Seymour R. (Si)


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Tuesday, December 8, 2009 Seymour “Si” R. Mock, 85, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, in Lake Havasu City. He was born to Noah and Stela Mock Aug. 18, 1924, in Lancaster, Ohio. Si attended Roosevelt High School in Dayton, Ohio. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Navy during World War II. Si worked as a plumber for 40 years with Central Plumbing Co., in Dayton, Ohio. He moved to Lake Havasu City in 1983 and was active in all sports. Si volunteered at the Desert Hills Fire Department and also built the SI Mock Building, where meetings are held. He was a member of the V.F.W. and enjoyed bowling, working on jigsaw puzzles, and reading books. Si is survived by his son, Larry Mock and wife, Marie, of Kettering, Ohio; granddaughter, Lisa Shisler, of Arvada, Colo.; great-granddaughter, Arica Franck, of Arvada, Colo.; great-grandson, Matt Brunswick, of Coldwater, Ohio; brother, Ken Mock and wife Ruth, of Lake Havasu City; nephews, Ron Mock and wife Doris, of Beavercreek, Ohio, and Steve Mock, of Lake Havasu City; and niece, Dannette Nez, of Gilbert.
