Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Tuesday, December 8, 2009 Theresia Porterfield, 89, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at the Polidori House in Lake Havasu City. She was born on Nov. 7, 1920 in Richardton, N.D., to Martin and Anna (Klemm) Lindemann. Theresia was born on a farm in North Dakota, where she lived and worked until the age of 17. The depression took the farm, and they moved to the state of Washington. During World War II, Theresia met her husband, Charles; they were married for 65 years. In 1955 they moved to California with two sons. In 1985 they retired to Arizona. Charles passed away on Sept. 4, 2000, and Theresia came to Lake Havasu City in October 2007 and lived at Prestige and then with her son. Theresia was Catholic and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. Theresia is survived by her sons; Patrick C. Porterfield, of Lake Havasu City, Niles J. Porterfield, of Mesa; sister, Margaret Breklyn, of Antigo, Wis.; four grandchildren; and one-great grandchild. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church on Thursday at 1 p.m. Words of wisdom and inspiration will be expressed by Father Mike Ashibuogwu and Deacon John Navaretta.
