Bill R. Da Vee died Sept. 5, 2005.
He was born Oct. 31, 1934 in Casa Grande to Ben and Sarah Da Vee. He worked as the city manager for Show Low from 1964 to 1969, and city manager for several Arizona cities including Tolleson, Apache Junction and Douglas; Washington cities of Centralia and Toppenish; final city service to Mesquite, Nevada.
He graduated Santa Cruz High School in Eloy and attended the University of Arizona in Tucson. While in Show Low he coached many little league teams and was active in many civic organizations. He was past president of Arizona City Manager's Association.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Shirley; son Bill of Mesquite, Nevada; mother Sarah Converse of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sisters Doris Sellers of Memphis, Tenn., and Janice (Bruce) Reynolds of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ben; sister Betty; daughter Cynthia and son Jeff.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 12 at 11 a.m. in the Greenwood Cemetery in Phoenix.
Greenwood Cemetery handled arrangements.

Bill R. Da Vee died Sept. 5, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Oct. 31, 1934 in Casa Grande to Ben and Sarah Da Vee. He worked as the city manager for Show Low from 1964 to 1969. Bill and Shirley originally moved to the White Mountains in 1958. At that time Shirley's father, Ruben Self, purchased the Westerner Motel, which was located adjacent to the Maxwell House. They ran the Westerner from 1958 to 1960, when they moved to Tucson while Bill attended the University of Arizona. After graduation from the UofA, he was hired by the City of Show Low.
He is survived by his wife Shirley of 52 years; son Bill of Mesquite; mother Sarah Converse of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters Doris Sellers of Memphis, Tenn., Janice (Bruce) Reynolds of Rancho Cucamonga and Karen (Kip) Henry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many heartbroken nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty; daughter Cynthia and son Jeff.
Funeral services were held Sept. 12 at Greenwood Mortuary in Phoenix, who also handled arrangements.
