Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Tuesday, November 24, 2009 Sally Ann Whaley, 77, passed away Oct. 20, 2009 in her home with her beloved husband, John, by her side. Sally was born Sept. 30, 1932, in National City, Calif. Sally and John moved from Anaheim, Calif., seven years ago to be near their family. Sally and John were childhood sweethearts. They married in 1951 in Inglewood, Calif. Sally is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, John; her sons, John Jr. and Samuel; daughters, Suzanne and Pamela; grandchildren, James, Katherine, Jesse, Wesley, Cody, Lacey, Mason and Tyler. Sally was the great-grandma to Gabriel and Johnathan. Sally loved and adored her family. She was our Queen, and was tickled to see all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at family barbecues and parties. She was a Bunco Babe and Bill’s best friend. She loved you all — you know who you are. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sally’s name and ticket purchases made to the Havasu Community Choir will be gratefully accepted. Arrangements were put in the care of the Neptune Society and Havasu Mortuary.
