Martin Alfred Petty, 87, died Sept. 6, 2005, in Show Low.
Mr. Petty was born in Beloit, Wisconsin and came to Tucson in 1952. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII in China. For 13 years he worked as a miner at Duvall Copper Mine in Sahuarita, AZ. He was an avid deer hunter.
Mr. Petty is survived by his wife of 40 years, Elizabeth E. "Betty" Petty; step-son, Bob (Susan) Moffett; step-daughter, Ellen (Ron) Frame; brother, Benny Petty and sister, Ione Erickson.
Graveside services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at Eastlawn Cemetery in Tucson. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9 at Adair's Dodge Chapel in Tucson.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to RTA Hospice, 1789 W. Commerce Dr., Lakeside, AZ 85929.
