Lilly Lopez, 87, of Holbrook died Aug. 30, 2005 in a Phoenix Hospital.
Lilly was born in Concho and was raised in McNary where she attended elementary school. In 1939 she married John Lopez in Holbrook. They lived in Snowflake for a few years then moved to Holbrook, where they have made their home ever since. Lilly was a wonderful, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She always enjoyed being with her family and caring and cooking for them. She was also devoted to her church and served as housekeeper for Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for several years.
Lilly is survived by her husband John; son, Charles; son-in-law, Ted Kiepke; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Kiepke.
A Rosary was held Sunday evening and Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Sept. 5 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Holbrook with Fr. Bob Mathieu officiating. Burial was in the Holbrook Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Owens Mortuary in Holbrook
