Charles Joseph Camilleri, Sr., 75, beloved husband, devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many, went to be by the Lords' side Sept. 5, 2005.
He was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and relocated to Arizona in 1944. He and his wife owned Morning Starr Grocery and Serv-U-Realty. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a Korean War Veteran. His most enjoyable moments were spent with his family at gatherings in Lakeside where he was a 26 year resident. He will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Judy and six children: Julia (John) Jackson, Charles (Lori) Camilleri Jr., Catherine (Gary) Jones, Donna (Mark) Merithew, Thomas (Melissa) Camilleri, Vicki (Tony) Garcia; 12 grandchildren Beth and Mary Jackson, Andrew, Carissa and Whitley Camilleri, Justin and Brett Blough, Jennifer Jones, Anthony and Michael Garcia, Charles and John Camilleri and one great-grandchild Ethan Jackson.
A viewing was held at Mariposa Gardens, Sept. 8, followed by Rosary. Funeral services to be held at All Saints Catholic Church in Mesa, Sept. 9 at 10 a.m.
