Raymond Lewis John, 56, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005 in Phoenix.
He was born March 6, 1949 to Lewis and Mary Ann Lewis in Indian Wells. Raymond worked for the Arizona Labors Union for 16 years. He was also a rancher and enjoyed rodeoing for many years.He was a carpenter, silversmith and a wonderful woodworker. Raymond was a member of the Bitter Water Clan.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Pauline John of Indian Wells; children, Sharon John and Lionel Begay; four grandchildren, Jeremiah, Chenoah, Vanessa and Olyssa; three brothers, Gilbert Manygoats of Indian Wells, Tilman John of Whitecone and Robert John of Holbrook; seven sisters, Rosalee Gonnie of Indian Wells, Renfina Kee of Holbrook, Elaine Jacques of Colorado, Dorothy John of Indian Wells, Betty Becenti of Holbrook, Lilly John of Indian Wells and Jaunita Manygoats of Holbrook; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 15 at the Holbrook Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment was in the Holbrook Cemetery.
