GALLOWAY, Geraldine (Gerry) V.

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Wednesday, June 16, 2010 Geraldine “Gerry” V. Galloway, former 25-year resident of Wickenburg, entered her heavenly home on June 8. She was 97 years old. Until their retirement in 1978, Gerry and her husband owned and operated Galloway’s Market in Olancha, Calif. Gerry had a zeal for life and was known for her creativity as expressed in her hobbies of crochet and crafts, including making her own Christmas cards year after year. She loved seeing new sights, gardening, music, wholesome humor, and spending time with her beloved family. She was also active in AARP for a number of years. Gerry was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bob Galloway. Gerry is survived by her brother Bob Barnett of Gallup, N.M.; her four children Arlene Hagan of Wickenburg; Pat Hagan of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; Susan Roberts of Wickenburg; and Julie (Albert) Saulter of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; grandchildren Robin (Ralph) Schaefer, Stacey (Jason) Friend, Shelley (Jonathan) Wratten, Janie (Steve) Kruszewski, Trevor Eltringham, Kevin (Kelly) Eltringham, Chris Fabela, Angela (Tom) Aldridge; 12 great-grandchildren, and many adored nieces and nephews. Private services, officiated by Pastor Doug Eckert, were held on June 15 at the National Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, where Gerry was buried with her veteran husband. Arrangements were handled by David’s Desert Chapel Funeral Home of Wickenburg. Condolence cards may be sent to the family of Gerry Galloway at P.O.
