The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 09/23/2005 Billy Cruse, 58, of Snowflake died Tuesday, Sept. 20 at his home. He was born March 31, 1947 in Phoenix, the son of Estel and Betty (Kreger) Cruse. He was raised and attended school in Phoenix. He was married to Kathy Jo Bruce and worked in the Laborers Union for a number of years, retiring to Snowflake ten years ago. He very much enjoyed living in the Cedar Creek area and taking care of his animals. He was avid about riding his motorcycle. He was an animal lover, even naming all of his cows. He was a very loved and respected man, who will be missed by many. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Jo, of the home; seven children Kathy, Nancy, Dean and Bruce of Phoenix, Karen of Butte Falls, Oregon, Paul and Heather of Snowflake; one sister Nancy Fowler of Hawi, Hawaii; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Robbie. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 in the chapel of Black's Mortuary, 401 N. 4th Ave. in Show Low.
