Owens Livingston Mortuary, Show Low, Arizona Harold James McKinley November 10, 1941 - June 14, 2010 Harold James McKinley died Monday, June 14, 2010 at Bannon Springs in Vernon, Arizona following a lengthy illness. He was 68 years old. Harold was born on November 10, 1941 in Waterbury, New Haven County, Connecticut to the late William James and Dorothy (Cable) McKinley. He moved to Arizona in 1970 and began a long working career with The City of Phoenix as one of its maintenance men. Harold was a man who enjoyed listening to music. He wasn't really particular as to what type of music he listened to because he liked all types. His only requirement was that "it had to be good." Harold also thoroughly enjoyed watching old western movies; a pastime he has enjoyed since he was a young man. One of the greatest joys Harold received in life was helping raise his 6 step-children. He was a grandfather to 8 and a great-grandfather to 9. They all survive him. Harold is also survived by his friends: Misty and Richard Pettit of Show Low, Arizona and Miranda and Amber Pettit, both of Show Low. Harold was preceded in death by his sweet wife, Barbara McKinley on June 28, 2009. Memorial services will be private.
